Description
A tree as a bridge between two worlds: its roots are nourished by the colours of my place of origin, while its trunk and branches are transformed by the light and vibrant hues of the Mediterranean.
Instead of leaves, white butterflies emerge from its branches, symbols of transformation, fragility and freedom. Their wings evoke travel, memory and the possibility of reinventing oneself between different landscapes and cultures.
This artwork celebrates the coexistence of roots and movement, between what connects us to our past and what carries us towards new horizons. It was also the inspiration for the artistic intervention “Persianes amb Art”, where this image was transferred onto a traditional shutter, bringing the artwork from the exhibition space into the everyday urban landscape.
